18 of Bristol's toilets close

The latest twist in the Labour party’s maladministration of Bristol is the decision to close 18 public toilets, including Westbury’s, from the end of January.

With less than a fortnight to go, councillors were told to ask managers of local pubs and cafes to make their own facilities available to the public free of charge.

When councillors were first consulted about this, they were assured no toilets would be closed without alternatives being provided, with the possibility of funding being offered.

Yet another promise has been broken, and a basic public service abandoned.
